Woman Faces Sentencing After Stealing at Senior Facility
The sad story of broken trust exposes its ugly head at a Lansdale senior living facility by way of multiple thefts in the form of an employee, according to an investigation. Lansdale Police were called to the Elm Terrace Gardens for the report of missing rings, earrings and cash in the amount of more than 53-hundred dollars. Police found information leading to 56-year-old Diane Witynski, who plead guilty in Montgomery County Court to unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Police say, Witynski, a citizen of Poland, stole the items from various residents during a period between July and August of 2012. Police say, one of the items taken was a platinum ring valued 3,000 that Witynski stole from an 89-year-old woman. Witynski has asked for home arrest. A sentencing date has note been set. Witynski could face a 14-year prison term.
