Alleged Accomplice Charged In Hen’s Coins Robbery
A third man has been charged in connection with a late January Holdup at Hen’s Coins on West Main Street in Lansdale.
18-year-old Gene “Ray” Kulp and his 21-year-old cousin Michael Creciun, both of Edgemont Avenue in Lansdale, were charged on Wednesday, January 23, with multiple felonies including robbery and aggravated assault in the Monday robbery.
The third man, 25-year-old Anthony Hughes, allegedly drove the getaway car and disposed of evidence.
Police say Creciun called Hughes after the robbery asking for a ride, and Hughes drove the other two men to his home on West Third Street in Lansdale.
They left a gun and knife there, and then Hughes drove them to the Acme Market on West Main Street, where they allegedly cashed in hundreds of dollars worth of stolen coins in a Coin Star machine.
Hughes placed the gun and knife in a dumpster at a Hatfield Township apartment complex, but police could not find them during a search because the trash had already been collected.
