Northeast Extension Crash
A tractor trailer and van collided Friday morning in the southbound lanes of the Northeast Extention of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The crash created havoc throughout the morning rushhour and not just on the turnpike. Diverted traffic slowed things upthrough the Route 309 corridor in Montgomery and Bucks Counties. The crash occured shortly after 6 o'clock near the Ridge Road overpass. After hitting the tractor trailer the van rolled several times and some passangers were ejected. Two medical evacuation helicopters were dispatched.
