Another Heat Wave
The eighth heat wave since June 1 is underway. A heat wave is defined as three or more consecutive days with a high temperature of 90 degrees or more. The first three came in June, three more came in July, the seventh one came earlier this month, and the eighth one started over the weekend. The forecast calls for highs in the 90’s through Friday, and then it cools down a little bit for Labor Day Weekend. June was the hottest on record, July was the second-hottest, and August should finish in the top ten, so it has been a hot summer.
