WNPV’s Legally Speaking Weighs-In on Zimmerman Case
A jury continues to hear testimony in the Trayvon Martin murder case. The defense for George Zimmerman, the man accused of shooting Martin, has presented a good case thus far, according to Lansdale attorney Greg Gifford. But Gifford predicts, if the jury acquits Zimmerman, there’s another possibility that may unfold.
“There is always a possibility they could bring a Federal prosecution, under a civil rights type prosecution.”
Attorney Kirsten Balzer believes the jury will continue to focus on the self defense issue.
“Whether or not he was standing his ground, especially with that law in Florida. I think there will be a number of factors as the case moves on, including the amount of media frenzy around the whole case.”
Kirsten Balzer and Greg Gifford are attorneys with the Lansdale Law Firm of Rubin, Glickman, Steinberg and Gifford. They co-hosted Wednesday’s Legally Speaking Program on WNPV
