Limekiln Pike Bridge Project
State transportation officials have held a public meeting about the proposed rehab of the structurally deficient Limekiln Pike bridge spanning Little Neshaminy Creek between Montgomery and Horsham Townships. What's in the works is a new bridge deck as well as other improvements that will enhance driver sight distance. The 172-year-old stone arch span is on the National Register of Historic Places. Stone from the original bridge will be used in the new structure to make it look like the old one. The bridge currently has a five ton weight restriction and only southbound traffic on Limekiln Pike is allowed to use it.
