Section 3: Supplemental (Non-Vacancy Specific) Recruitment Activities Undertaken
1. WNPV Radio has an ongoing scholarship program and provides a scholarship to a graduating senior from a local educational institution in the North Penn School District. The scholarship recipient anticipates continuing their education in the field of broadcasting.
2. WNPV Radio provides financial assistance to a graduating senior from a local educational institution in the Souderton Area School District. The recipient anticipates continuing their education in the field of broadcasting.
3. WNPV Radio has an ongoing internship program. The current intern is a student at from Montgomery County Community College.
4. WNPV Radio’s website, www.wnpv1440.com, includes a notice encouraging organizations that regularly distribute information about employment opportunities to notify WNPV if they would like to receive notification of vacancies.
5. WNPV Radio also conducts numerous tours of the radio station each year. Those tours, (attended by students and local community members,) discuss a variety of topics including station operations and careers in radio.
