When you tune to AM-1440 and you hear someone talking it’s fairly obvious what their role is at the station. Less conspicuous are the folks who are working behind the scenes in administration, sales and technical support. General Manager Phil Hunt almost literally grew up in the business. He’s held just about every position during his more than 30 years at WNPV. Current owner, John Skibbe had previously occupied the senior management chair at the station. The selling of airtime is what keeps the bills paid the generator running. Sales Managers have included Dick Heist, Paul Haggerty, Bob Burton and Linda Moskal. She is also married to the current top sales guy, Joe Moskal (They tied the knot prior to their current business relationship).

Other sales folk have included Lee Pekter, Allyson Lefton, Diane Lloyd, Andy Korman, Diane Agius, Barb Glanzmann, Todd Fetter, Rich Jodum, The heart beat of any small organization is the office manager. Marie Davler (Krauss) served as Dick Heist’s first secretary and managed much of what was going on behind the scenes. Later Jill Carr assumed the position of customer relations and office management. Her friendly telephone manner became as associated with WNPV as any of its on-air announcers. Everyone at WNPV also realizes the essential work done by the engineers. Chief Engineer Dave McCrork joined the station in 1989. Leroy Nuss and Dick Wright were engineers in the early days, with Nuss helping to design the station’s layout.
